School

Hello my brave few readers, reading my brave few posts. Monday was my first day of college, summer quarter 2010. Math 150, English 101, Anthropology 201, Freshman Seminar. I'm still waiting for the shipping of my english and anth books, good thing they're online classes.

I graduated high school in 2004 which was also the last time I did any serious math class or math in general, and when I walked into my math class, which I placed into from the compass test, it was like yesterday instead of 6 years. Once I got into my groove, it was all downhill learning from there. I'm such a funky fresh math guy, math math baby, dun dun dun dun dadadun dun.

If only I could get away with only taking math and science classes, I'd be in heaven. Social sciences are lame, and English is more about citation than actual writing, and buffing out papers to be 5 pages long with fluff instead of a reasonable 3 pages long with the same information. I hope english in college isn't the same as it was in high school. At least they can't make me take public speaking.

I should take another look at what I need to do for my associate of science and plan out my classes some more. I really really wish my dad or mom could help pay a little for this, maybe even my columbus dispatch scholarship i got a long time ago, but I dont know if they'll honor that this far after my graduation. If we can get bye with me being unemployed until tax time next year, I should be eligible for a butt ton of financial aid. Crossing fingers!
