(no subject)
Alrighty, so, a lot has happened and I don't really post on here much, so here's a little update on my life.
The particular Gamestop location I was working in (in a mall where there were two) closed down on the 4th. We were basically informed of the store closing a week before it was set to happen, and it was only because I opened up a box of shipment that had signs to put up telling customers about the closing. In a matter of a week, I had no job, and I was pretty worried. Gamestop was being really ambiguous about what I should do to receive my severance benefits, which REALLY pissed me off.
But anyways, I have been thoroughly enjoying my time off under the circumstances. It's extremely easy to keep up with classes (even though I've skipped more class this semester than all of my previous ones combined), I take a nap every day, I can actually watch TV, I've been playing with Juice around town very frequently, I've been hanging out with this girl that I like a lot....life was pretty good already.
So theeeen yesterday, I was hanging out, and I got a call from the manager at Brookstone in the same mall I worked at. He wants to interview me for an assistant manager spot at his store. Sweet! And THEN my dad emailed me to tell me my severance check came in from Gamestop....$1100!!! That means that I wlll be able to take care of a lot of things, and I wasn't even unemployed for very long in between.
But anyways, that's my situation now. My tax return is going to be quite hefty, as well. I finally got to leave Gamestop, and they paid me to do it. Pretty rad.
