waiting for the release of both of their albums is like being on both ends of the spectrum at once. after fangirling over shinhwa it's difficult to get used to extol's sheer lack of publicity and after fangirling over extol it's difficult to get used to how much of a moneymaking machinery kpop is... and how ugly extol's merch is and how exposed shinhwa is to the public.
anyway.
if shinhwa's appeal is their adaptation to the ever-changing pop industry and being a living record of trends over time...
extol's appeal is that they don't change
they sound just as they did 8 years ago
actually they seem to have gone back to the burial/undeceived era so i guess i should say 15, 13 years ago...
isn't it funny how shinhwa and extol debuted in the same year? and how the vocalist for extol is the same age as the vocalists for shinhwa
i find it funny...
