Damn Cool
Today was pretty dang cool.
I was forced awake at 9:30am (which was really unpleasant, since I was planning on an 11:30 wake-up), because my grandfather wanted some help at his place. I go over there every weekend to do a bit of manual labor, for about 15 bucks a go. It's not easy money, since technically it's about 3 bucks an hour. Whatever. I feel good for helping him out with stuff like that, and I know he always enjoys hanging out with his grandkids.
My brother calls at about 4:30pm to ask if he should come and pick me up. I was grateful...I had already been working for 5 hours and I was longing to go to the movies. He arrives at 5pm, we go home, I change into more presentable attire.
Two nights before on Halloween, Dane walked in from a gig he had had and asked me if I wanted to go see Alien with him and some of his friends. I was all for it. He's 5 years older than me and he actually invites me places with his friends...that's pretty damn cool. I never fail to accept.
Change of tense!
So we went to the Harkins Cine Capri and I saw Alien for the first time. All in all, it was a great night just hanging around my brother (whom I have great respect for) and his buds. Good stuff.
