I have jewels
Yowzer, major update, my beautiful friends.
I mentioned that job interview a few days ago, and now I have results. Within a minute of my being there, I was hired. Apparently, there was some major availability goin' on like hardcore, so as long as I looked good on paper, I was good enough for the job. I'll be working at Sears (for those who don't know, Sears is a department store, specializing in clothes, hardware, home appliances, etc.). The best part of it is that I'll be working in the jewelry department! $6.50, plus commission, I've been told, but I have a hunch it'll turn out lower than that. I took the drug test today and hopefully the results won't return as "inconclusive." Poor David.
The interview itself took a grueling hour-and-a-half to finish due to technical difficulties; the damn computer wouldn't work. But I got the job, so I'm pleased. ^_^ As well as extremely nervous. Any words of comfort will help tremendously right now. Bring on the comments.
In my trend of becoming a bit more mature, I downed my first beer tonight. Not that that's a mature thing to do...whatev. I opened my fridge tonight and found myself desiring that bubbly bitterness of beer. It's the most alliterative experience I've had all day. To be honest, though, I'm actually down to the last ounce right now...and it's really starting to taste kind of gross. Bleghck.
