I've spent literally the whole of today playing the piano and learning new songs - and loving it every bit. Its such a joy especially to play with a huge thunderstorm brewing outside, lightly muted by the double-paned windows, rousing a constant breeze which occasionally blows away my piano scores. Most importantly perhaps, playing the piano takes my mind off things. Not because the music produced allows you to drift away, but simply because you won't be able to play anything satisfactory unless you give full focus to the notes. It's addictive.
