The mythical mystical butterfly of chaos theory
I learnt today that it is "with regard to" and not "with regardS to". There shouldn't be an S! I get the idea that I've been using "with regards to" so that's rather embarrasing now that I realised my mistake. If you consider that this "regard-regards" thing is probably one of the most useful and interesting things I learnt in my course this week, I guess that pretty much sums up the supply supervisor course.
I've been hit by a stroke of fluctuating luck though. After the unfortunate incident of the jockey cap (I've since bought a new one), there were also other minor misfortunes that came my way. Such as the incident of the bus that drove past as I was crossing the road, thus making me late. I have hence used up my "first late warning" and another warning would consign me to being the class IC for 3 days- a much dreaded punishment indeed.
I suppose some of the unfortunate occurrences could be attributed to the mystical mythical butterfly of chaos theory. For example, I shouldn't have cut my nails today. I think it led to some screw ups after that. I have noticed that cutting my nails somehow always seems to do funny things to how fortune or misfortune befalls me. So lesson learnt is to avoid cutting them when enjoying a spell of good luck and to trim them fast when encountering an unfortunate streak. I can't find a reason to explain this phenomena besides the chaos theory of the mystical mythical butterfly of chaos, better known as the "butterfly effect".
Anyway here's the most important paragraph of this entry- does anybody have FIFA 2007 on DS to link play with me? The "world class" level of difficulty is getting to simple for me cuz the computer's style of play is starting to get formulaic. And they don't seem to know how to accelerate. Any challengers to take on my Fantasy Kop Utd (short form "FkU") which consists of Ex-Liverpool greats? Speaking of which I have also thought of a fantasy team consisting of players such as Crouch, Beardsley, Shilton, Schmeichel and Simpson that would be managed by Kenyon from Chelsea. Any suggestions for a name for such a team?
Oh wait, I've digressed and removed the emphasis from the most impt point in my entry. So I shall repeat this- Does anybody have FIFA 2007 on DS?
You know, I really miss 05S70. Was just sitting there in lecture today and recalling the crazy things we used to do when June (or was it Choe) brought us to the com lab at the top floor of Block B. I wonder if people remember. But I hope we all do.
