Okay. What the fuck. Honestly. This pisses me off like no other. Y'all should know by now that I'm not Christian, but Pagan. To a Pagan, the moon is like the Christian Cross. A holy symbol. A pillar of strength. And they are planning to ADVERTISE on it!? HELL no! That would be like putting a Pepsi ad on the cover of every Bible.
I don't know what they think they're doing, but there are going to be some very ANGRY Pagans on the 21st. Not ONLY is it a full moon, but it's Ostara, the spring equinox, a HOLIDAY. And it just so happens to fall on the full moon this year. They are SCREWING with my holiday AND my holy symbol. Not only that, they are putting a bright, annoying advertisement on something beautiful that is a part of nature.
I hope they fail. Badly. I hope their laser fucking explodes. That way it won't be tried again. There are few things that get my pissed, but this is definitely one of them. The problem is that if it DOES succeed, then EVERY company would LOVE to be able to advertise on it. Nobody OWNS the moon, so it's free (minus the costly laser to beam the message up), but if it screws with someone's religion, I don't know how to get them to STOP.
I dunno...maybe it's silly and I'm taking it badly...but it makes me mad. I don't think they can do it, so that makes me feel a bit better.
