i, as of now, am not spending any un-necessary money. but i don't know how. any advice?

Don't take money with you anywhere...even a credit card...just enough if you need gas or something. When you go to buy something ask your self "Do I really need this?, Can I live with out it?" or just tell your self that you don't have the money...

i agree... you'll find yourself poor within a few days if you spend money on food all the time.
