Just some simple research to try and see if two different creatures from different planets are actually related. Until Mihoshi screwed everything up.

Well it was a bit of a domino effect. The moment Mihoshi opened the cage, the data was instantly cut off. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem...until the creature smashed into the machines.
