J-Pop Summit Festival at the Grand Opening of New People in San Francisco. Ummm, let's see:
The J-Pop Summit Festival
We were at S.F. around 8 AM. Yes, we wanted to be the early birds to get into the place before anyone else can. Otherwise, we would be stuck in the hot desert line for hours and by then, we would blow our chances of getting Amano's autograph (see below).
For the promotion of 20th Century Boys. There seems to be some confusion on the name of the Female Actress's name (Tokiwa Takako) because sometimes the announcers said "Sakako". Guess some announcers make mistakes, I guess. XD
For those who are interested in the concerts and Gothic Lolita shows, they got 'em outside.
New People location thoughts:
Front Area
A coffee shop. To be honest, the Cafe Au Lait tasted a bit flat without dumping a bunch of Brown sugar and milk, compared to other coffees I tasted elsewhere. Then again, we get what we didn't pay for: we used a free ticket to get a drink for free. Some of the snacks were good. The Kinako and Matcha Green Tea Meringue (cookies) were HELLA GOOD and a must buy (see picture below or under the LJ cut)!! Since they were a bit pricey, I decided to eat some samples instead. The curry popcorn was good; sweet yet flavorful. The wasabi popcorn was okay; a bit too bitter. The spicy popcorn was salty as hell; almost no capsicum-filled spice in it. Not that I wanted to be spitting fire like a dragon, but I wanted a bit of spicy kick to it.
Basement
Kickback place or a theater area. Inside the theater, the last time we checked, they were playing Death Note dubbed. As mentioned by the staff, they will be showing international movies there.
1st Floor
Shopping area. My only real gripe on these was that some of the items here can be very expensive. Then again, since it's more of a kickback place and the place looks very fancy for a shopping location, you get what you pay for. For those wondering what they have there, they have some $5 candles that look like food, some artbooks, tools for the kids that look like I can get from Daiso's, and some bizarre stuff.
Stairways
Now why would I even mention this? Because there were some sketches on the walls. See pictures below.
2nd Floor
Baby The Stars Shine Bright? Or is it just a Gothic Lolita shopping area? I'm not a fan of the fashion, but the place looks very lovely. The area and lines were very long in this area, so we didn't really stay here for too long.
3rd Floor
Artwork. Yoshitaka Amano was a guest for that floor. Me, Roger, and Arwen were one of the 50 people to get the autographs from him, as well as a special sketch in addition. Despite having some health problems as the staff stated (kidney issues?), he's a very chill guy (of course you still have to treat him with respect). Even without Amano available, I think this was the main place we stayed most of the time. Not only was it an area where we don't have to spend anything, the images there (early works of Amano especially his early Tatsunoko abstract designs) and some panther-like figurine models were impressive enough to give us some pictures to take. For those who appreciate art or want to find a place to go on a date (hey this is what the staff said to me), this would be a good area to check out.
Project760 decided to interview both me and Roger. Not sure when they'll be up. Someone update me on that please?

Sakako....errr, I mean Takako.
Barrel Smash!
Hey people! We see you setting up the Gothic Lolita part!
The MC, Foxy. Yeah, he's gay, but that's okay. Should have brought one of our gay friends to meet him, but oh well.
Hello Kitty!
Since there was a lot of people dressed in Gothic Lolita fashion for this event, I decided to take some pictures. Credits go to those who dressed up! You know who you are! ^_^
BONG! ...Okay, that was just for jokes.
The Kinako and Matcha Green Tea Meringue Cookies! I almost bought a set because they were so damn good! And sorry for nibbling too many cookies! XD
One of the artworks on the 3rd floor.
One of the drawings on the stairways.
Me acting calm while Yoshitaka draws. Once again, I want to show my respect to the guy.
Luneth from Final Fantasy III (the original NES one, NOT Final Fantasy VI for the SNES) plus his signature.
Signature FAIL!

THE REST OF THE PICTURES CAN BE VIEWED HERE IN LARGER VIEW! F.A.P. Podcast Episode 10 - link currently broken due to site fix.
I decided to attend the podcast again for the second time as guest, alongside with 2 other guests (Virus and Ramen). This week's show primarily covered cosplay experience. It's quite hilarious on some areas, but the rant side might get us extremely hated depending on how people view our opinions. In addition, we announced some new stuff for SacAnime, including a couple of surprises.
Podcast should be up either today or sometime this week. They are currently fixing the hacking problem that affected their website as well as wordpress. D'oh!
OTHER STUFF

Don't ask what the fuck we were thinking. This was just flat-out random.
I now want to eat a 32x32 from In N Out! I'm too used to 4x4's too much, despite the last time I ate one, my mouth was dry due to the high amounts of salt.
DJ Max Technika @ Roseville Golfland. This should be fun, but given RVGL's reputation, it may break within less than 10 days or so. And this is WHY people must have common sense: don't play arcades while you are soaking wet NOR shall you put your drinks on top of the machines!! *sigh* Anyhow, played it maybe for the 2nd time, and still trying to move up to 6/7's. XD
SacAnime is next week. Who's all ready?
Oh....and I decided to grow a goatee. Keep or shave? :P
Sorry for not showing up on the NorCal Cosplay Gathering at San Jose. How did that turn out anyways?
Gonna try out Windows 7 in a bit. It better be a major improvement than the crappy Winblows Pissta.
