So last time i left off I was about to go to the Coldplay concert.Everything was fine going when we got to Phillips Arena but our ticket stub guy either really hated his job or was on speed, b.c in debater speed he said the works "good evening, can i see your ticket? Thank you, have a good evening, enjoy the show and God bless you!" while cresendoing. Porscha and I had really great seats even though they were one of the first rows in the back lower concourse section. We had sat next to two really cute prep southern guys, and then on my side like 3 married slightly old couples. Rilo Keily opened for Coldplay and they were okay, its kinda of hard if you are a indie band opening up for the biggest British act, b/c everyone just went to see Coldplay. I swear it took forever for Coldplay to come on first they had to set up all the lights and then the arena was pitch black for 5 minutes. Finally Coldplay opened with "Square One", such a great opener. Then it was "Politix". next it was "yellow" and at then end of the song 20 humongous yellow balloons filled with confetti came from the ceiling. Porscha and I didn't get to touch any of them b/c everyone threw them to the stage, but Chris martin had a fun time popping them with his guitar. I wish Porsha and I had front row seats b/c our dances to all the songs seemed like they were all choreographed since we knew all the words and key guitar parts. They also played I think a Johnny Cash song and we got the guys next to us to do a hoe down with us. So after Coldplay came out to do an encore, Chris Martin was announced he had a special guess whose hometown is in Georgia. And automatically i though REM, and I was RIGHT!!! I was screaming soo much like a shark just tore off my leg b/c Micheal Stype was going to do a duet with Chris Martin. It was "Blue light" i think that was the song. But my absolute favorite part was during "In my place" during the interlude Chris suddenly disappears and Porscha started yelling " look he's coming down the aisle" and then i start Screaming b/c Chris Martin came to our section and started singing. That's like the closet I've ever been to some one actually famous. he was so close we could see his armpit hair through his Jacket. He's amazing, Porscha and I should have gone into the stairway to be notice by him, but we were too lost in the moment. His last song was "Fix You" and he even did the swinging of the Light bulb, but no fireworks went off, but it was still dramatic. Also he improvised a little song and good bye message for Atlanta. Coldplay says they really like to come to Atlanta b/c in 2000 in their first American tour with Limp Bizket and Korn ( How did that happen?) they were booed off stage until they came to Atlanta b/c they sung "Georgia on my Mind" and very loved them for it. Coldplay was also good at tricking the audience b/c they would hold a chord on the piano for a long time and like start fiddling on the guitar, and Porsha and I would be guessing what songs it would be we were like "talk" no its "swallowed by the sea", and it would be clocks.
The next day of school it seemed like everyone wanted to go to coldplay, but only like 10 kids from our school did. Even Mrs. Morris went to Coldplay. Mr. Bradley wanted me to tell her i saw her there even though i didn't. I don't know why he wanted me to maybe she has a secret disguise so her students will not see her in public, or she could be a big drunk at events like this, but i don't think she bought it b/c we were in different sections that are sorta far apart. Then Mr. Bradley wanted to make her even more embarrassed. Since we were slacking off in class and watching a movie about a Buddhism story, he wanted me to say "I know why we are watching the movie" and then he wanted me to point to my Coldplay Concert T-shirt. It would be funny but then i would be on her X list which would be so bad.
After this concert nothing can put me down, it just made me so happy in such a dull world.
