More updates of the Orange County gang rape case. I love the fact that slander is now allowed in our court rooms and that defense lawyers are allowed to set up their own plasma television screen and make the rape victim watch herself on televison while then asking her if she likes doggy style sex.

The case is receiving national attention in part because Haidl's father is Assistant Sheriff Don Haidl.
Mitchell was called by Haidl's attorneys, Joseph Cavallo and Peter Scalisi.
The trial continues Monday.
Jack Earley, a defense attorney and president of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, said calling Mitchell was an innovative move.
"They are trying to say, this is not a concoction of the defense, this stuff does happen in porn films. ... " he said.
In her testimony, the young woman had denied calling herself a porn star, and said she does not remember the alleged rape.
The prosecution's expert witness, Trinka Porrata, had testified Jane Doe shows very little response on the videotape, which indicates she might have been given gamma hydroxy butyrate, a known "date rape" drug.
But she also acknowledged that tests performed on Jane Doe did not show she had consumed any drugs.

I just don't see how the porn argument holds up because I highly doubt that any teenage girl would wish to act out a "porno" where the things that the boys did to her was done. She pissed and threw up on herself that really isn't teenage porn star material.
