So i just got back from my first official shoot with 4x4 TV. Here are the highlights in no particular order:

-Being the first ones to drive the 2006 Jeep Rubicons, and beating the shit out of them. (Car and Driver Magazine gets them AFTER us, heh)

-Meeting creepy ass country folk, straight out of Texas Chainsaw Masacre.

-Having one of them pull a rock out of his pocket full of gold flakes.

-Being on top of a mountain at 8300 feet with a 360 degree view.

-Having Scott (my boss's son in law) tell me that he isnt really used to driving fast offroad WHILE we are doing 65mph down a gravely dirt road. Then having him loose control and almost shoot us right off the road.

-Hearing "The Suffering" twice today on satelite radio.

-Getting paid for it.

All in all, the shoot went good. The first place we went was a total bust because all the roads were washed out and there was no way to get anywhere we wanted to go. We ended up going to the Sequoia Nat. Park and got enough material for another show. Thats where we fount the 8000 ft. look out, it was so amazing. Too bad the footage from that damn XL1 will never do it justice...
