(no subject)
Saturday my neighbor had her 10th birthday. Everything was good until the girls went tubeing for the third or fourth time....I spot for the girls because the adults don't do a very good job and talk the whole time. The birthday girl and her cousin went tubeing then her cousing started crying and wanting to get out. We pulled the tube in and when she got out she had blood running down her legs. She did what any 10 year old would do and started sobbing.
I felt so bad. Chelsea was shaking while triying to call her mom (she's a nurse). The only adult that was on the boat was her uncle and he wasn't much help when he saw the blood he thought she had just started her period. Uh...way to much blood...I think it was the shock of so much blood that scared her... All I could do was hold her hand and tell her to take deep breaths. I was suprised at how many nurses we have around our house...we had three of them carry her up stairs... In the end she had to go to the emergency room and get stiches and x-rays...
I felt so usless. I couldn't do anything...I was the one that was supposed to keep the kids calm but I just started crying...I don't have a clue why.... it could be because I had grown close to her as if she was my little sister.or that I felt horrible for not being able to ease her pain...I feel so embaressed...
Her birthday is next week to... she wanted to have it on the lake but she can't swim for 4-6 weeks...This weeked sucked other than the fact that Alex was at my house...and we camped in the front yard.^^
Time to lay down I'm feeling really sick..
