Anyone read 142 yet?

Hi!

This is actually my first post (so hello again!) but I did want to ask a question.
Has anyone read chapter 142 yet? )

I Love debating too!

But Yuuko takes Sakura's memories from Shaoran in the same dimension where Watanuki exists.

True, true. But then my next thought was: when did Yuuko take payment? And because her shop is another dimension separate but a part of the one Watanuki lives in, Yuuko could have taken payment when the time corresponding to outside her shop was the time that Watanuki came to life (wow, reread this sentence and it is a mouthful, but I think it still makes sense--kinda).

This has got me thinking about Yukito now--Yukito has a soul, because we have seen at least two other versions of him - the High Priest in Clow and the waiter with Touya in Hanshin. So, if Yukito is Yue's self when he isn't being all magic-card-guardian-ly, does that mean that Yukito is Yue's soul then? Or--just thought of this--did Clow simply use the High Priest from his own little made-up country (or so it seems sometimes) as a model for Yue's false form?

Oh--Watanuki, right. From the fact we have: Watanuki has been falling asleep more and more ever since Sakura went into that dream world--her body disconnecting from her soul, we know that Watanuki is somehow connected to Sakura--or else he wouldn't be getting weaker when she gets weaker.

The 'memories of learning cooking from his dad'--I can so see Clow doing that part of the spell (and getting a big kick out of it too) - teaching Watanuki to cook in the guise of his father - because he's always wanted to have a family member who he can share his love of cooking with and also to pass something on to family that has nothing to do with magic, since magic basically rules everything else.

The 'mom picking his name'--did they mention which name she picked, given or family, because it is in the dream when he is thinking about his family name--Watanuki and how it is written 'April 1st'--that makes him remember that he doesn't know his parents' names. Also, Yuuko mentions that the fact the characters of his name have an important meaning after he's woken from the dream with Sakura where she tells him that her and C!Syaoran's birthday are on April 1st, the same as his.

But Chapter 141 and 142 have both been weird. I would say that Watanuki hasn't waken from the dream he was in in Chapter 140, but I really can't see him dreaming about him and Doumeki going fishing. Of course, them actually going fishing--together and without Himawari--is even weirder. If they hadn't ended up getting chased by carnivorous women-birds, I might have worried. (Anyone else think that that bird girl that saved them has something to do with that egg that Doumeki is keeping?)

But weird is probably the wrong word for chapter 141 & 142, random is probably a better one, because, really, weird and Watanuki just go together naturally. If we saw a chapter where nothing happened to Watanuki, then I would start worrying because nothing weird would mean Watanuki is dreaming.

142 - Maybe Watanuki's cooking has just become so well-known in the spiritual world that the lagoon-handed-guy just had to have a taste.

ZOMFG.. I so totally can see Sakura or Clow giving "Watanuki Kimihiro" as Watanuki's name. April 1st IS a very important date for both Sakura and Syaoran after all! <3
