RAVEN IS THE NEW NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!
Ok so anyone who knows me personally knows that I'm the biggest Raven mark around. So for me this is pretty fuckin HUGE! Ever since Raven arrived In NWA TNA I was hoping that one day he would become champion. And that fuckin day is here. Finally! Though it sucks for AJ Styles because he just got the strap last month and this was his first title defense.
Raven won the title in a "King of the Mountain" match against AJ Styles, Monte Brown, Shawn Waltman(X-Pac), and Abyss. Raven replaced Jeff Jarrett in the match because Jarrett was arrested for attacking a fan earlier in the night.
A "King of the Mountain" match has a penalty box on the outside of the ring. And the only way to win is by climbing a ladder and hanging the title above the ring. You score a pinfall then you are eligible to hang the title and win. If you are pinned then you go in to the penalty box for 2 minutes. Raven was the first in the penalty box. The end of the match Waltman and Styles were on top of the ladder and Abyss pushed them off causing Styles to go throw a table on the outside and Waltman to crash on the concrete, Abyss was climbing the ladder of success but was PPOOOUUNNCCCEED. throw a table by Monte Brown and grabed the title but was cut off by Raven and Brown was hit with the Even Flow(Raven Effect DDT) which allowed Raven to climb the ladder and hang the belt declaring him as the NEW NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
