06.28.07 - My my my
So, I left class early today because Mom finally decided to use the spa gift certificate we got her for Christmas. She scheduled, awhile ago, for me to have a European facial while she got a Chocolate Fix massage. Then she was going to have the European facial when her massage was done.
So we show up at 1pm, when we were supposed to, and find out that they didn't schedule us for facials at all. Instead, they had us both down for a massage. Which probably would have been okay if I'm allowed to have massages. But I'm not. Scoliosis is a contraindication of massages - so even if I wanted one, the spa won't do it because they don't want to fuck my back up more and get sued.
I wound up getting a pedicure because the lady who does the facial (I forget what their job title is) had left for the day and the only thing they had open that I could do was a pedicure. It was lovely. I'm a pedi-addict now. I love people touching my feet and I totally didn't realize it. But I always have tried to swindle boys into rubbing my feet. Sean's just now catching onto how much I like it. My toes are a pretty, sparkly pink now. It probably won't last long because I can never get polish to stay nice for long, but that's okay. I'm going to see if Sean can spare the cash for us to go get mani-pedis together before Ash's wedding. He said he wanted to and if he has the money, then I don't see why we shouldn't.
I am bummed, though, because Mom balanced the checkbook again and realized we don't have the money for me to get the red highlights in my hair that I want. It'll probably have to wait until August. Boo.
Anyway, we're so never going to that spa again. The pedicure was pretty much the exact same I got at US Nails...and it was $35 more expensive. I don't think so.
I haven't been reading much lately. I did read during my pedicure, though (another reason I'm in love with them). I finally got to the addictive part of The Dark Tower (book 3), so I should get through that pretty quick now. Especially with a week off coming up. I still have four more Dark Tower books...plus the seven books Erin's loaned me. I think I'm good. If I make it through THREE books in a week, I'll be astonished and thrilled.
Planning on doing a lot of writing during the break, too. Erin will be on vacation in Delaware and Sean only has Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday off. So I'll have the time. I've got two Erin/Went smuts started that I intend on finishing. Plus my novels. I really need to accomplish some writing. My soul hurts when I don't.
