the ER...again
ok i think i know why i had that wierd dream. it was a pre-fever dream because i was in the ER all last night. we couldn't break my fever or figure out if it was just a virus or something else, so of course we tested for everything else...Catscan, spinal tap, blood tests 8 of them, and a flu test. it ended up being just a virus with a really awful fever. i got morphine and toritol and tylenol and then just IV fluid. now i have two other kinds of pain killer pills. i forget what they're called. i'm actually not allergic to them which is pretty awesome! and they're narcotics, so they help me sleep even if the headaches don't go completely away, at least i can sleep. for anyone who has never beeen on morphine, this is my second time on it this year, and that is one wierdass drug! through an IV, it makes you feel like you can't breathe for about a minute or so and you just have to pace your breaths and not hold it, but it makes you feel like you have to hold your breath, like you won't be able to take another one. yea it's a real wierd drug, fast acting though, thank god for that because that was about three hours after coming to the ER that i finally got done w/ all the tests and my blood pressure came up enough so i could have morphine, and it was the first relief i'd had in three days!
