What a day!
I went to go see "Happy Endings" tonight. Absolutely amazing. I have a new found obession with Maggie Gyllenhall. So pretty so pretty.
I went to George's b/c it's my favorite place to go. I was seated next to a couple outside which is where I sat last night I was there. I like that. I like having my own spot and things being the same. So after a little while, the man asks me if I'm waiting on anyone and of course I have to say "sigh, no no...it's just me." He introduced himself as Ceasar and his girlfriend as Lisa. It's sort of hard not to be aware of each other because the tables are soo close together. I'd say their table was only a foot or so away from mine. It turns out that they hadn't seen each other in 20 years!! She just called him up two weeks ago and they decided to meet. They dated in highschool. bah!! How incredible. I felt so special just to be knowing that this moment was happening. Occasionally we would chat back and forth and at the end of dinner, I gave the waiter my credit card. He took theirs at the same time as well. When he comes back, he gives my credit card back but doesn't give me anything to sign! I was thinking..."what is going on" and he says to me that the gentleman took care of it. I was so taken aback!!! I didn't know what to say. I told him thank you so much and I didn't really know what to do b/c this had never happened to me before, but he said, "well your company was thanks enough" How nice!! Nice people. I couldn't really believe it. It really came at the most perfect time because I was feeling kind of sad and lonely and my mind was wandering to things that only made me feel a bit worse...which is what I do. I'm sad so I think of things that make me even more sad. A horrible circle.
