belated birthday entry
So yeah, my birthday was the 30th.
It was really good. There wasn't a huge party and no one did anything spectacular for me, but it was still probably the best birthday I've had. I could rant about certain people not calling me or forgetting or whatever but I know some of them aren't really my friends anyway and I've equally stopped caring about them. Because I was able to see people I do care about and get some free meals (yes!!) and free alcohol, as it turns out ...
Part 2: The Return of Shad. So, in case you don't remember where we last left our heroine with this character - he is a friend that she has had sex with and a sorta kinda relationship-ish with several times over. He decides (with a prodding from Jon) to take Katie out for her birthday. They go to the Library (the club, not Davis, although I hear it's great to have sex there) and Katie is able to get in, surprisingly enough, I suspect because a band was playing and they needed money and people. So, Katie gets drunk and plays pool and is having a great time and once she and Shad leave she decides she wants birthday sex with Shad. Long story short (well, actually it wasn't that long HAHA ... ugh) it's good but then Katie starts crying because her birth control is acting up or PMS or something and Shad feels like shit, possibly also because he is now in an undefined relationship with a girl from work. Katie is slightly jealous mainly due to ego, but also takes into account that he just had sex with her. He drives her home and thinks he really fucked up when actually it was fine. He drives Katie home and she calls him the next day to once again tell him it's ok and that she'll see him next tuesday for dinner.
Writing in third person is fun. Albeit a little confusing probably. Overall, I feel good about it, people's kindness and even very small generosities went a long way. I felt very loved. I hope there is much more love to come.
