Only a little bit left in the year... should I start skating to school agian? Wasn't it skating to school that made my passion for skateboarding die? Or was it the kids trying to steal my form of transportation, and turn it into something i hated? Where a community of support and fun became factioned groups of assholes all trying to get sponsored and "beat" their friends to that fucking goal.
God damn I miss my little sport, or at least how it used to be that is... I liked it when it was a little secret thing I had. No one knew about it really, and I couldn't care less. It was a time when I didn't even know the difference between an "ollie" and a "kickflip," but really could fucking care less. Sure, I had seen the tricks on TV, but they were the same ones anyone had seen... Advertisers just trying to sell us "rebellious" products. Oh goody, I'll be first in the fucking line if I can look that cool! John's probably the only person who'll read this and be like, "oh yeah, man those were the days..." If only you guys could'a seen them!
