The search for a...book
I got to catch a glance at the huge lines of people last night awaiting the next Harry Potter book. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't slightly amused. I'll bet they were there till 2 AM handing out all those books. Of course, my Cassy is smarter than that. I recommended to her that she just go to Safeway and she'd probably be able to get one sooner. And of course, she walked right into Safeway just after midnight, picked one right up and waited in NO line to pay for it. And she got it cheaper too! So I'm sure she spent last night reading a book that she didn't wait for and paid less for while others dressed in full costume were still waiting in huge lines.
Of course, I'm not entirely holier than thou when it comes to waiting in a Midnight line. I DID wait from 11 till after midnight to pick up by Playstation 2 (which I had pre-ordered almost a year earlier!)...and I'll do it again when the PS3 comes out in the Spring.
And now for a bit of my own obsessions. I'm drooling over the new info on 2 of my favorite games, the next Metal Gear Solid and all the new Final Fantasy 7 stuff (new games, movie, etc). If they remake Final Fantasy 7 for PS3, I am so there. If only there was a petition or something that I could sign.
And go see Willy Wonka. It's a lot of fun.
