School and Such
Well here it is, my big post for the summer ( i guess).
It was weird, to think it was my last summer as a little highschool kid. During senior year, I felt so old and mature. But as college was coming around, I realized just how young and I really was. I mean, another 4 years of school? Damn.
Senior year was...meh. Not the best, but not the worst. Had a lot of fun with Rock Band, and late nights on the weekend. Some good LANs here and there. Actual classwork was pretty much a joke. Even the dreaded senior research paper was pretty damn easy. It also didn't help that I got accepted early to RPI...cause as soon as I found out, I totally stopped caring about highschool. So I guess school was good in that sense, it was easy. It just ended being a chore I guess. And now I'm actually really glad I'm out of MHS. A teacher made a funny, but painfully accurate comment to me before I left, "So off to RPI? Heh, Well I guess you won't have to deal with these idiots out there!" LOL. It was definately right on the mark...I was so tired with seeing all these total losers walking around our school. But anyways, sure, my highschool career was good. FIRST was the by far the best part; no question it has changed my life forever.
Soooo, then it was onto my last summer. Not a whole lot that was out-of-the-ordinary amazing. LANs, Rock Band, Deny's, fireworks, other random stuff. Oh yeah, and WORK!! God, I hated the fact that 80% of my time was taken up by working. I mean, I know I needed the money, but still. I hated to watch myself throw away so much of my life just for money. It makes me sad, but I know there isn't much that I can do to get around it. That's just life. Haha, if anything, I made me realized just how much important it will be to get a good / interesting job for the rest of my life.
Well now I'm out at school. Its pretty good. Had a lot of fun the first week, when we didn't have classes. Just kinda hung out with a bunch of people, did some cool stuff. Lol, played some apples to apples, and such games. It was good. My dorm room is pretty sweet ( I put pics up on facebook ). The building I life in is pretty good, clean, everything works, no one is too annoying :P though there are a few "bad music blasters" down the hall, but they don't usually do it at night, so its all good. Plus now that I got my new headphones, I just throw those on and its not a problem at all. My roommate is cool. We don't see too much of each other. Food here is pretty good, not bad, just good. I'm sure i'll get sick of it eventually, but for now pizza and cheez burgers will have to do :P Classes have finally started...wow. I forgot how much I hated doing school work xD I mean, its not that hard, just annoying. Reading a bunch from a dumb book, stupid physics problem, stuff like that. Its just annoying. Eventually I might get to some fun classes, but for now its all just core, "you'd better do them" classes. Other than that, no, I haven't been hittin up all sorts of crazy parties :P One very positive note, Julia and I got back together :-) Lol, we played some Mario Cart / Mario Party a few hours ago.
So you might see another update from me later in the year, but who knows.
