Freud believed that there were three aspects of the mind that affected how we think, feel and act. The Ego functions on a conscious level, and it is the rational part of our mind. The Id functions unconsciously, seeks pleasure and avoids pain. It wants instant gratification and is usually in constant conflict with the last part of our brain, the Superego. The Superego is also unconscious and it acts like a conscience. It wants to do what is right, depending on the morals you are brought up with.
....My Id ate Kay's CD, and my Superego was angered. My ego couldn't care less, just 'cause that's the way it is.
....this is an update.
