(Two posts in one day? Crazy!)
Who all is going to Botcon? I am, and I hope to see you there!
I haven't made solid plans, because I don't really trust dispatch's ability to get me anywhere on time, but my tentative schedule is to come in to the LA area on the morning of the 20th, leave the truck at the truck stop in Ontario, rent a car from the airport, and drive over to Pasadena. So I will have wheels for the whole weekend. If you need a ride to someplace, don't be afraid to ask! I might as well get a lot of use out of it since I'm renting it for an entire weekend and don't really plan to go anywhere for most of it.
I'm still hoping to be able to nab a bit of room space with... well, anyone really. I can sleep on the floor, I'm pretty quiet, and I'll pay a share for every day of Botcon even if dispatch messes up and gets me in late. The alternative is for me to get my own hotel room somewhere, which would give me a good spot to park the rental car, but it would be rather expensive, and lonely. On the bright side, if I do get my own room and anyone is still looking for a roomie I'd be more than willing to share. That'll be a pretty last-minute thing though.
Also, I want to take people out to The Cheesecake Factory on Saturday night! I love The Cheesecake Factory! And I'll treat ya! Who is the "people" I want to take, you might ask? Well, pretty much anyone who knows me and isn't going to the awards dinner. I'm hoping that's not too many people, but most everyone does go to the awards dinner, so it will probably be a small group. And even if it isn't, I have the money for it and I feel like doing it, so there. So if you don't feel like going to the awards dinner, hit me up. c:
