bitchin' bout LJ e_____e
I want to stay on LiveJournal. It's a place where I've had a lot of fun, met some friends who've become very dear to me, gotten even closer to some I already knew, and just generally had an awesome time.
But the people running it just keep fucking things up, and I'm getting close to my limit. Lack of communication when the site goes down, horrifying privacy concerns (and then insisting there was no breach of privacy), and the latest clusterfuck of cockups (mostly their attitude about it on this one), are all really making me want to leave. I'm not going to delete my LJ account--not yet anyway, I like it the way it is. But I'm definitely going to be crossposting only from now on, and I'm glad my imported my journal when I did.
I'm really sad that it's happening this way. "The people running the place are dicks" is pretty much the exact reason why my deviantART account is now lying fallow. It feels frustratingly like I've let the same dumb thing happen to me twice. Just sad.
