So my pup got a staph infection a few weeks ago. They told me to wait for the already busted sores to stop oozing and give him a bath with this medicated wash. So, I gave him his bath. Next day woke up head to toe covered in hives. BAD. Went to the doctor a day early and he decides that I my birth control which I had just started a new pack of, and the steriods weren't getting along, since a steriod is basically a hormone. So we decide to taper fast off the steroids and take me off of everything except birth control. I eat benadrryl and break out the next day...although not as bad, but it still sucks. Thought everything was going fine. Fast forward to Sunday. Give the dog his 2nd bath, and am enjoying my first day free of steriods. 3am am woke up with hives. At this point I know its the damn dog wash. The hives are even worse than last week. I go to work and they get worse, like within minutes. I was rushed to the Dr. got an epeneferen shot to which my heart started reacting to. I told the doctor that I felt like I had been beaten up with a bat, almost like I had pnuemonia because it just hurt to breathe. I was really concerned that I may have poisioned myself. No, I am having DT's from tapering too fast. So I get put back on the steriods to taper off correctly. Have one more bad day of break outs and (knock on wood) nothing since. I can eat regular food again, just nothing fried, red meat or pork. That's still another month. Well, until I have a procedure done on the 29th. The same dog had some surgery today, his start into this world was anything less than pretty. They think because of all the trauma and stress he has some issues. One being not loosing many of his baby teeth. Poor guy had 6 teeth pulled. :( It's going to be a long night. I am so excited its October, come on cool weather and spiced pumpkin candles!!

I have some good news in the making ( about time I know ) and will update when I know for sure the specifics.
Gotta go cuddle my little man right now.
