home sweet home

So we just recently got back from New Zealand and Australia and it was amazing. We have decided not to ever go back to sydney (oz) because it was DIRTY!!!!! our hostel was a hippie commune which was pretty kick ass, but what they didnt tell you in the pretty brochure is that it got broke into on the regular. Our friends from the netherlands who could barely speak english on their second day of travelling had ALLLLL of their stuff stolen from their room. we got lucky because our room was a private suit on the top floor but these intruders scaled the wall and broke in thru the window. Not to mention we were out walking one day and saw a guy stop and just take a piss right on the sidewalk then keep walking....

All the fun things to do we did in two days in Australia, we went thru the botannical gardens and they had bats with wing spans reaching 4 feet sleeping in the trees above everyone. looking up it looked like giant basketballs. the opera house was cool, more beautiful at night. the harbour bridge was pretty sweet but not worth the $180 to walk across it. We did go to a zoo where we got to feed and play with the kangaroo and hold and pet the koalas, we saw mountains, rainforests, waterfalls etc etc.....next time we will venture to a different place tho, maybe perth or carns....

New Zealand was the best and maybe thats because my bias lays within the fact that one of my besties lives there, but we were glad to be back there after being gone a week on OZ. we went on mini adventures to kikoura and picton and we saw whales, mountains, white water rafted, hot tubbed in the mountains, saw whales, seals that would swim right up to you....it was breathtaking there and I will def be going back.....

When we got back from vacation we only had a short time before we packed up our $1795 uhaul with a tow dolly and jeanines truck attached to it. Her family was awful before we left because they kept coming up with all these senerios and what ifs while we were driving so it came down to having ed, my moms boyfriend and pretty much my step dad drive with us. it was a long 30 hour drive and we had to stop because its monson season and there were bad storms and tornados surrounding up....we got to arizona and unpacked in 115 degrees at 11am and I spent the entire day getting our room set up. its not always that hot here, just now because its summer time. the house itself is gorgeous with 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a pool, two living rooms attached and two kitchens attached. we pretty much have only been swimming at night because during the day its like a hot tub haha...everyone needs to come visit, i have to keep telling myself that this isnt vacation this is home. Its the most free Ive felt in a while...

my cousin jess is frantic because she just had a new baby so last night I kicked her and her husband out and watched the baby, she cried because it was her first time leaving him. she needed it tho. I rocked baby charley in my arms until he fell asleep and he was fine. I cant wait to have 3 of my own somday....

I started my teacher meetings already, I cannot believe the time has finally come to actually start, I thought Id never be done with school. I have until wed off and then it begins, my 1st graders get there on the 10th. I was in this room nervous with all these thoughts sitting next to these other new teachers and when the meeting begin I started realizing how shy these girls were and how they wouldnt ask questions and it was just me asking away, then I started to get more and more and more excited thinking holy shit, I am gonna rock! those kids are gonna eat those teachers alive and I was nervous? I mean it ok to be worried I dont know what to expect at the minute, but this is what I was born to do, nothing else in this world makes me happier (excluding my puppy) than working with kids. then I just couldnt stop smiling and moving and then it hit me....I am so ready for this....
