I feel that fount of creativity
filling then overflowing my well.
Dams and tunnels give way to the moving water
and before I know it, this river flows out of me
into the world.
The stream is steady at first
carving its way through the landscape
careful to follow the natural curves
spilling down, filling in the deep crevasse
between your eyes.
Bending and weaving deep within
searching caves long forgotten
raining down and filling in
till your walls no longer hold
- till it runneth over.
Then perhaps it will journey outward
seeping out your ears
into the world again, aimless,
pounding the shores fiercely
to slip into another mind.
Better yet, it flows from your mouth
and into the ears of another
adding your stream to the current
then through their ears
or out their mouth
into the world, round and wound.
