Idol Family Fun Weekend: SHINee
Annyoungdasehyo, I am SHINee’s youngest Taemin. Being the youngest has huge advantages. You get “protected” a lot, enjoy special status, you’re the favorite all the time, you don’t have to do a lot of stuff because your “too little”, you don’t have to do things for yourself either there is always someone that will do it for you. And the list goes on and on but every once in a while… it can be such a PAIN!!
This weekend is Idol Family Fun Weekend. It’s the 4 nights and 3 days of the year that k-pop artists have a weekend to spend together with no fans around to bond and have fun at SM’s expense. This year SM rented out an entire hotel for everyone, and an amusement park and a small mansion with a private beach. And this year we, SHINee, get to go! I’m sooo excited all the trainees talked about this all last year dreaming of the day they debut and be able to go.
Its Thursday morning at SHINee’s dorm the quiet bussal of Onew, Key and Jjong finishing last minuet preparation for the weekend is suddenly broken by the arrival of 2Min. Half day, Half day, HAAALF DAAAY!!! Taemin yelled in a sing song way as he bounced into the dorm Minho trailing behind him. We’re back Minho said chuckling silently at Taemin’s excitement. Welcome back Key yelled for the kitchen. Taemin, Minho make sure you have everything we’re leaving in 2hrs Onew said as he carried shoes back to their bedroom from the shoe closet. Yes leader Onew! Taemin said as he ran past him to their room. What’s with him Jonghyn asked Minho. He had been on the couch watching a drama. He’s has been like that all day. I swear he was vibrating in the car when manger-hyung picked us up. I had to grap his legs so he would stop fidgeting because he was so bad he kicked the back of manger hyung’s seat twice. At that, Jjong started laughing. Needless to say, the car ride was entertaining I can’t even imagine what he was doing in class. I guess our little mangae is excited for the weekend, Jjong said chuckling. Yah no kidding.
In the bedroom. Hyung what kind of games will we play and what type of food and what will it be like to have a whole amusement park to ourselves. Taemin asked these questions as he buzzed around the bedroom putting last minuet things in his bag. Taemin-ah I have never been either I don’t know we’ll just find out when we get there Onew said smiling. Oh sorry hyung I guess I’m a little excited, Taemin said blushing slightly. Taemin … Taemin … Aigoo SON! Key yelled from the kitchen. Coming Key-umma Taemin called as he ran out of their bedroom. There you are Taemin-ah come pick out your snacks Ajumma made us all pack lunches for the long van ride so pick what you want to snack on in between. Oh I want that and some of that and a little of that and a lot of that. That should be plenty Key said interrupting. Aww can’t I have some of that too. Fine but that’s it. Thank you Taemin said loudly as he hugged Keya and ran back to the bedroom to finish packing. He’ll give himself a stomach again if you don’t watch him, Onew said quietly as he came into the kitchen. I’m not spoiling him right? Key asked tentively. Nah he’s they baby it’s to be expected. Don’t scare me like that Key said as he hit Onew in the arm. Ow!
2hrs later. Ok everyone has everything right?! Manger-hyung asked. There was a chorus of five yes’. Everyone went to the bathroom right? Another chorus of yes’ Good lets go. Yaaaa! There was a general stampede for the van. “I want a window seat!” Ok everyone settle down Taemin-ah don’t make that face you can get a window seat when we stop for more petrol. SHINee was in a seven-passenger van with the driver-adajussi and manager-hyung in the front seats Onew and Key in the middle seats and Jjong, Minho and Taemin in the backbench seat. Taemin was pouting with his arms crossed upset that he had to be in the middle. He was not happy he was the one that called a window seat. It wasn’t fair that his hyung-dual took all the windows. Minho sighed, I’ll switch with you Taemin I can stretch my legs better if I’m in the middle anyway. Taemin’s face immediately brightens into a wide smile. Really, hyung Thank you Taemin said as he gave Minho a big hug. Now that we have that squared, away can we go now said manager-hyung rolling his eyes. Yes hyung!!
Two hours later the boy’s had played several games and now were ready for lunch. I’m hungry. Me too. Let’s eat then. Looks like Ajumma labeled our lunches, said Jjong. Aish I know that said Key taking the warmer bag, I put them in there. Here Onew-hung that’s yours, that’s Minho and Jjong’s, this one is mine, and here’s Taemin’s. A chorus of thank you and everyone began to dig in.
Aaah that food was good we have to thank Adjumma when we get back. There were several mummers of agreement of which Taemin was unusually quiet. He was usually the first to compliment someone’s cooking because he loves food. A small moan escaped from Taemin as he leaned forward to give his empty box to Key to dispose of. Taemin are you ok Key asked full of concern. I don’t feel so good Taemin said quietly as he grasped his stomach and leaned on Minho’s shoulder. Why don’t you stretch out in the middle put your legs in my lap and your head in Minho’s lap? Da hyung. Key frowned as Taemin switched seats and lay down. Is it your stomach Taemin-ah?, Onew asked concerned. Taemin just nodded as he lay down. Key grapped his “just in case” bag and began rummaging around. Where is it Where is it. I couldn’t have forgotten it could I? But I did feel like I had forgotten something. Key continued to mutter to himself as he search became more and more frantic. Aaaarg Aaagrah my stomaaach! Aigoo Taemin-ah, your eyes were too big for your stomach again. I told you not to eat so much. Aish leave him alone Jjong-hyung he feels bad enough as it is Minho said annoyed. Taemin was now rolling back and forth holding his tummy and moaning. *burp* excuse me. Tums, I knew I forgot something, how could I forget that, Key nearly wailed. Manager-hyung can we stop at a store so we can get some Tums Onew asked as he was concerned for Taemin and tried to calm down a nearly hysterical Key. I don’t think that’s necessary anymore, Manager-hyung said as he pointed behind them. Onew and Key looked back and Jjong and Minho looked down at Taemin who was now sound asleep. Taemin shifted and scrunched his face as he settled again. There was a collection of soft awwww’s at how adorable he looked. We will be there in about an hour so I think Taemin will be fine if he just sleeps the rest of the way. Daaaaa! Sssshhhh!
An hour and half later a quiet SHINee van pulled up to the hotel. Ok we’re here boys just let Taemin sleep while we unload. Minho and Jjong gently got out from under the light boy and helped in the unloading. After about 15 min, the van was empty except for the sound asleep Taemin. Wake up TaeTae. Your going to miss all the fun Taemin woke to the persistent poking of Onew. Come on wake up you can’t be doing your imitation of Dracula right now. Huh?? … What?? … Where am I?? Your in the van. How do you feel? I’m fine hyung … why?? Taemin said slightly confused. Onew sighed this happened sometimes when Taemin fell asleep in different places he forgot what was happening before he fell asleep. You got a stomach when you eat too much again. Oh … sowie hyung it just tasted to soooo gooood, Taemin said blushing as he stretched. Come on were getting stared soon. Taemin completely woke up immediately completely excited again.
