Comment: For #96 of
15_minute_fic. Not sure how exactly I'd write this Kai/Uruha series, though, if I should make a multichapter or smth =\ And yes, I'm on a roll. Also comments are ♥ and very much appreciated~ ^^
Patience, Kai scolded himself as his eyes frantically roamed around the practice room, arms hitting the drums in an absent-minded manner. After all, he could play this piece even with his eyes closed. The sweat that trickled down his forehead wasn’t only of exhaustion but also of anticipation as this was their last song, and after it everybody would already scramble their way out of the studio.
The perfect opportunity, of course, because as the leader he had to stay behind and check if everything was fine. Also because as always, Uruha would be the last one to fix himself up. The younger drummer thanked the gods for the blond’s pace, although at the same time cursing them because time seemed unbearably slow now.
So while he waited for the song to finish - his arms and legs working on the drums fluidly, still - he fixed his eyes on that single spot in the room where the first guitarist was. Kai simply marvelled in the blond’s exquisite… appeal; despite the lack of make up, he still exuded beauty like nobody he’d seen before. The sweat that rolled down Uruha’s neck - even at that distance the drummer could still notice it - made him even sexier. Oh how Kai longed to touch that skin…
And as his drumstick almost slipped, that split second snapping him back to reality, Kai sighed. Focus, he needed to focus too. If he messed up, his bossy self would command everybody to start all over again.
But the seconds were just too painfully slow.
Finally, Kai breathed to himself, standing up from his comfortable position on the couch. Finally.
With that signature smile on his face, he’d finally come to this, but for a moment his heart skipped a bit. At that he stopped in his tracks.
The blond guitarist looked back, simply shooting the drummer a somewhat confused, if not totally bored look.
“Hey Uruha,” that at least Kai managed to say.
Now he just wished he didn’t complain to the gods earlier, because this was way harder than he thought.
