I slip and I slide and I fall on the ground,
No one will help me, I'm left all alone.
No arms wrap around me to pull me up,
The empty shadows I see are dancing away.

Because I'm falling into disgrace,
Falling into a world of hate and despair.
Where the Children cry and the Mothers weep,
And the Fathers drown in water too deep.

Can anyone save me from this moment in time,
This darkened embrace, this cold empty kiss,
Could you promise me warmth, feeling and light,
I open my arms and close them to night.

I scream and I cry and I plead and I sigh,
No one can save me from where I am now,
It's a hopeless case, bitter and frayed,
I cannot last, I'm withering away.
