Random update
Look,there has been almost one month since I updated my lj!
First of all,I am really having a busy semestr this year.I have been working from 8 to 5,literally.All these hours,I'm lecturing something and when I arrive at home,I am totally dead beat.It is like I am tired of explaining stuff and I want to stay mute for the whole evening.The good thing is that we are now in winter break.One week has already passed and I have another week to stay lazy=)
Anyways...so how do I spend my days? Mostly trying to get up late.Man,I am not kidding.My eyes are open when it is 8 a.m and I am like "c'mon! You're on vacation!" I wake up,though and since everybody is asleep at home,I'm tiptoeing between the rooms.I usually watch some tv shows which I haven't found the chance when the school's on.
So let's summarize a little:)
1.Supernatural
I know there are some negative opinions about Sam vs Dean but hey this is SPN fandom and we LOVE drama.If you ask me,I'm OK with this season.It is beyond my expectations so far.I am not going to lie,I have also enjoyed season 6 and 7.Maybe I have issues with the myth-arch of them but overall,they were good.However there has been some fresh stuff in season 8.
The things I have complained so far;
- Dean's Purgatory Arch: I think it has been wrapped up too quickly.There was more things that they could have told.I loved Benny from the second I saw and his storyline.
-Sam's love interest: Ughh...I think the major problem is with the actress.She and Jared...They have zero chemistry.I want to love Amelia character but I just can't feel anything for her.Positive or negative.So whenever Sam remembers something about her,I ended up rolling my eyes.
The things I am hopeful for;
-Castiel's redemption.Some people blame Cas for stealing Sam's screen-time or whatever reason they come up with.He's my second favourite character in the show and honestly it's kinda sad to read some comments about him.I have never been a devoted shipper (in a sense,I can be multi-shipper) but all those shipper wars make me ewww.I am very excited about what they are going to do with Naomi ( Amanda Tapping fangirling here)
-A decent mytharch.The last year was about Leviathans which I am not a big of them.You know everything was all over the place in season 6 ( Soul-less Sam..etc) Closing the gate of hell sounds interesting and Crowley stands out a pretty convincing baddie so far,unlike Dick the Leviathan.
The things made me "WTF"
-Man,what is that Men of Letters thing anyway? Calm down! I don't hate the idea but where did it come from all of a sudden? I have to admit that I'm enjoying that they are big part of a legacy which they have no idea.Still,I miss them being simple.Not with Lucy vs Michael or this new thing about this secret society.Having said that,the idea sounds like right from a Dan Brown novel but I LIKED it:) Honestly I am very curious to find out more:)
Btw,the latest episode.Oh,boy...So many feelings for one episode.I really,really and I mean it,LOVED Henry Winchester:)
I don't know the actor but he looks like young John Winchester and he was so well-written ( apart from his speech about hunters:p)
and I know he's doomed when he touch the baby:'(
2.Eureka
This is the first one I started watching.One of my friends recommended me to see Primeval:New World ( I have already seen the original one,British one) because of Niall Matter:) He is such a cutie and really looks like Joe Flanigan.
Anyways,the show has lots of science talk which I can't understand any word of it but has some cool characters:) I love Carter & Allison relationship and say "awwwwwwwww" whenever Jo and Zane appears ( geez,their storyline in season 4...so sad)
3.Medium
Shocker,right? I have this one on my mind for a while but I couldn't watch somehow.The plot is familiar...A young woman who can see dead people,future and the past.John Smith,anyone? The first episodes seemed to cold but after a couple of episodes,the characters grow on me and Joe Dubois is hell of a husband,just fyi:) ( I want someonelike him:D)
Plus I love Patricia Arquette from David Lych movies:)
------> Speaking of movies,I have FINALLY watched The Raven with John Cusack.Well,the movie was watchable but I LOVED every reference to Poe's short stories.Poe is my favourite since high school.One of my research subject was about his famous poem The Raven and I had to write a detailed paper about his works which I enjoyed every part of it:)
LOL,I remember the first story I have ever read.It was "Black Cat" and I was staying alone that night and I also remember the other simplified texts such as William Blake and Fall of House Usher made me feel a bit scared,heh
So...the last show I want to talk about is Psych:)
-What a wonderful show it is! I am sceptical about comedy shows and I find most of them cheesy but this one...It is so good.I love almost every character.Julie,Gus,Henry,Carlton and of course Shawn Spencer!
I strongly recommend this if you haven't seen it yet.The first episodes are a bit slower but you will enjoy episodes one by one:)
It has some intense moments like this one.I don't want to talk about it but the day I have watched this episode,something very bad happened at work and you know...the reason was my stupidity,my being naive to trust people.
Anways...I can relate what Julie feels right here.My poor bb:'(
Sooo...that's all for now.I know LJ ( at least my friends page) looks like a ghost town but I love being here and reading what you have said in your entries=)
