X-Files S8 Syndrome
Dear god,I'm melting here! The weather is incredibly hot ( it is 35 Celcius while I'm typing these )and when you add fasting to the equation,imagine the rest...
Well what's up with my entry title?I think my fellow x-philes surely understand the reference but it is more about A2A.
As you can already guess from my latest fandom,I'm talking about the LoM spin-off Ashes to Ashes,not David Bowie song (which is a great song,btw)
I am watching the third series of A2A and I had to stop watching the series in the third episode.Well not for good of course just taking a break.
You see,when I first watched The X Files without Fox Mulder,I was angry with all the stuff they'd done to the show.I even hated John Doggett for a while.The biggest problem was the presence of Dana Scully.I mean even if Mulder was my favourite,I always loved the character even now when I rewatch the episode after all those years,I notice I have begun to love her even more.
But Scully wasn't complete Mulder and every time she appeared with Doggett,she reminded me of Mulder.Although there were some pretty OK stories in season 8,I chose to ignore what's happening completely.The worst thing was the moment they mentioned Mulder's name.LOL,the show couldn't make me feel happy in both ways.When they didn't say his name,I was like "Where is my precious agent,for god's sake" and when they mentioned the name "Mulder",I was like "Noooo,I have just started to warm that Doggett character,why why now..?"
Anyways...those things were ages ago.Time passed.Time changed.I have changed.I embrace XF with every character,every story-line,every single trivia about it.It is my first fandom and nothing will change this fact.
To be honest,I have forgetten that drama till I watched the pilot episode of Ashes to Ashes.
The series picks up where we left Sam's 2006 universe.I don't want to give spoilers about the show in case you guys want to see it.Ummmm,also the ending of LoM...I'm not going to lie...It was so emotional and I din't feel in that way over a tv show for a long time.If I say that I had to stop in some scenes ( cause I didn't want to cry like a frakking baby),I think you understand the impact.
So in that kind of mood,one week later,I began watching A2A.It is a bit hard to digest first episodes.LoM takes place in 70s but A2A is in 80s so you can guess the mood a little bit.Except Sam and Annie,Manchester's finests are present with Alex joining to the team.I thought of letting the show go cause I didn't like it first.I missed Sam and the faces of old team did nothing but to reminded me of Sam Tyler ( now that is a total deja-vu!)Anyways towards the end of series 1,just as the show started to show something from the universe of Alex,things got interesting.I enjoyed the finale ( all the stuff about Alex's family was good) and loved series 2 more.
Then...They started to mention Sam's name in series 3...A LOT...Good lord,just as I thought I could finally endure his absence.It becomes really annoying when they say "Sam" more than three times in an episode!So that's why I call my situation as "XF S8 Syndrome" Lord have mercy on me:'(
But don't take this wrong for a2a...I like the show:) As soon as I recover this syndrome,I will watch the rest of it.LOL,I guess it doesn't even make sense some of you...
Other than that...The days are dull here.Well I have just come back from holiday four days ago.It was amazing...tiring but amazing:)
I finally bought Game of Thrones.Actually I have tons of books to read.But I haven't started reading any of them,yet.
Also the tv shows...My list is really,really long ( I feel like a series-holic..sshhh)
But what I am watching right now ;
-Babylon 5 ( season 4 )
-Buffy the vampire slayer ( season 2)
-Criminal Minds ( season 2 )
-Roswell ( Season 1 )
-Quantum Leap ( Season 1 )
-and just about to finish Star Trek:ToS and move on what's next:)
I also want to watch Exile,John Simm's BAFTA nomianted mini-series.But I don't know...I mean I need to calm down a bit.I'm watching too much of him lately.Yes,yes...I am OBSESSED=)

By the way,I think I'm able to create gifs slightly better than the previous ones:) What do you think?
