Dean,you may not be who you are!
What I have learnt from Supernatural so far?If you are a good recurring character ( doesn't matter the fans know your backstory or not),your days are numbered in SPN-verse.
That's what happens in "And There Were None" I can't believe they wasted three characters at once in an episode like this.I mean it was just a random one for me.It was not brilliant or horrible.
Anyways some thoughts with a mixture of X-Files "Ice" since ATWN reminded me of this classic episode of XF.C'mon what do you expect from an old X-phile,guys? :p
* We are back to our "Mother of All" story after the hilarous meta. I can't decide whether I like Eve or not but one thing for sure.A lot of things are happening in the same time and let's face it,Sam's soul story just occupied the first half and left too little space for angelic civil war or the other stuff.Maybe writers chose this way because of budget problems but almost every exciting thing happen off-screen! I don't want to sound whiny like "omg,season 6 should not be happening" cause hell,I still enjoy it despite the poorly written episodes!
*Bobby tells boys that monsters are throwing a secret party without inviting hunters.
In reality, it looks like Eve ( Our one and only "Mother of All") is following a certain road and she is busy with cooking new monsters.Of course our hunters jump to the crime scene without wasting time.
Bobby and Rufus. I have to say their duo was amazing and 4th episode that Jensen directed has proved it already :)
Oh,Rufus...aka Mr X.I liked every single scene you appeared:)
Both hunters go on investigating what drives people crazy
Meanwhile Sam and Dean join the party.The leads from dead bodies take them to a factory ( was it isolated or the deaths take place over there,I can't remember now)
Two partycrushers enter the scene to spoil this frame.Grandpa Samuel and cousin Gwen whom we know hardly about her.I think the weakest part of 6th season is the story of Campbells.When I first heard that grandpa was back and Mitch Pileggi would be seen again,I was pretty excited.The writers sounded rather optimistic saying " the hunter genes go back to Campbells"
So what happened? What went wrong? There was zero character development.Yeah almost everybody hated grandpa when he wanted to give his beloved grandsons to Crowley without blinking his eye.
Personally I just couldn't hate Samuel no matter how bad he was ( what? He is still Skinman for me!)
Speaking of Campbells...What happened to the other douchebag cousin,Christian? He was also wasted somewhere.I was expecting more about him ( heh,I have just started season 6 of Stargate Sg-1 and he is there,too.I mean Corin Nemec replacing Daniel Jackson.Man, one more reason to dislike him--just kidding! He's so sweet as Jonas!)
Oh,I am diverting again.Dean is so pissed when he finds Samuel in the scene.We all remember his promise to his grandfather.
*Whoaaaa! Now I wasn't expecting that.When Dean shoots Gwen,I scream like "whaaat?" aloud!
As far as I remember Dean is the only Wİnchester who hasn't been possessed.I mean Sam was possessed by Meg,John was possessed by YED.I am not sure we can call this as demonic one since that creature is brandnew.
Hmm,I wonder if the writers point that some time.
They find themselves trapped with an unknown monster.Until that moment,the episode was doing just fine.
Flashback to XF...So why do I feel like I have seen this before.Oh,right."Ice"
Good old times.Baby!Mulder and Baby!Scully investigate deaths in a science research facility thanks to Mulder's unending curiosity.
Or course that is nothing like a demonic cookie but possibly a gift from the nature or the outer space?
Ewww...Look at their faces.
Seriously though.That's the part people should call "XF did this better". You feel yourself like one of the individuals stucked in the Arctic.The feeling of claustrophobia was created well unlike SPN.
But keep in mind,I am not trying to prove which one is superior cause it would be unfair to SPN :)

After Dean's been infected with that thing,everybody is scared of each other and they check themselves to find any possible trace.

Dean,you're insanely gorgeous but I wouldn't say Samuel thinks you in that way, here
Lots,lots of gazings. We already knew that a big death was going to happen in the episode but I assume Samuel will be around till the season finale.
Why didn't Dean kill grandpa? Sam just killed him in cold blood and the weird thing is he isn't 100% sure that Samuel is the host of the creature.Dean's killing Gwen and Bobby's killing Rufus may be justified since they are possessed in the time of murdering people but what is the explanation for Sam?
Yeah,in the end grandpa had the bug for real but it was odd. I don't know whether we can call this OOC for Sam.He has just got his soul back and now this *scratches her head*
Poor Mitch!

That's the feeling lacks in "And There Were None" The paranoia. We have seen briefly when Dean says he has no longer that thing and then...nothing.
This is a classic scene between Mulder & Scully. Their pointing the gun each other.Damn...I miss them so much:)

So where was I? Oh,yeah.Possessed!Bobby kills Rufus.Apperantly a hunting went terribly wrong in Omaha and a woman was dead because of Bobby. Who was she? What was her relation to Rufus and Bobby? That is mystery for now.
It may sound lame for some but I loved the back story here. I didn't feel it was forced or so.
Although I will be lying if I say,I enjoyed that scene.It was nothing to do with Jim Beaver but something was just not right there.Let's say I wasn't scared of him.
For god's sake,I wanted to yell at my screen like "clean the man's nose for crying out loud!" It was totally disgusting,lol
Their best shot was electricity so Dean gives the shock Bobby as much as he can!
Meanwhile somewhere in the Arctic...XF monster is more sophisticated than Eve's and also it doesn't want to share his host with another worm
yes,that's right.Felicity Huffman is trying to kill Mulder!
But as long as Scully is present in the scene,that's not so gonna happen.They put the worm the real infected one and government dudes come and clean the place!
Once again Mulder has to leave with empy hands from the truth
What about our hunters?
God,sometimes I am still naive! I thought the grave was Bobby's for a moment. I can't understand the point here.I mean just as they begin creating a good character,they call him/her just to kill off!
Once again Dean shows how forgiving soul he has:)
If the duration would be longer,I wonder whom else they would kill?
