awesome weekend!!
ok well my aunt Cindy and two of my cuzins: Bridget and Heidi came on Thursday and then Friday me, Heidi, and Bridget drove to Flint to meet Kelly!! and her grandpa drove her there and we ate at applebees! and then we came home and just hung out and stuff and then i took kelly in the garage to show her our drum set and showed her a couple beats... and then she started playing a beat so Me, Sean (my little brother, and kelly all decided that we would write a song. so she played a beat and i came up with a rhythm and sean played some funky thing on his viola... it was pretty tight and then the next day we wrote lyrics to it and decided to make a it a graduation song and perform at my brothers party on Sunday.. so we practiced til like 2 in the morning on Friday and Saturday and we had it down pretty good and we called my uncle to bring a couple more amps and on Saturday night me and kelly made a box thing with three band name options so ppl could vote for our band name....... on Sunday we woke up and went to church and then came home and set up for the party and got everything ready... and then we performed our song and it was soooooooo FUN! we didnt mess up either.. so it was really cool...... but anyways.. i wanna record that song! and Kelly did a really really good job of keeping the beat, she didnt mess up at all! so she is like naturally good at drums.. so she is gonna get a drum set... and take lessons and stuff and we are trying to make it so that she can come to live with me in Junior and Senior year.. dunno yet... but yeah... it was just sooo fun! and we already had a vote on our band name but we still havent finalized it so if u want to u can put a vote in.... the options are:
1)life's odyssey(that was the name of our song)
2)insanity strikes
3)radical beans
so anyways yeah it was soo cool cuz i have never written a song like that before and it was just amazing how we had a full song within two days and performed it without messing up!!! but kelly just left today and i miss her soo much already! she is so much fun!!! but i gotta go to Chicago sometime this summer!! so i hope i get to go!!!!!
