They're gone...
Normally when there is a portal to be opened, most of us stay clear. It was different this time. Almost all of us were at the house when Gabe and Tori started to do their magic thing to keep the portal that Dylan was opening stable. Before he opened it, Tori had Dylan do some relaxation things since he was so nervous. I admit it, I was nervous too.
My boys had to go through a portal and have it close on them. Made that protective part of me kick into overdrive. I asked Connor if he wanted me to go with him. That I could bring the guns and offer some extra protection. Connor kind of smiled at me and said he needed me to help Oz protect the city while they were gone. That he would see to it that everyone returned safely.
He asked me to keep in touch with Taylor while they were gone. I promised I would.
Once Dylan was ready, he did his chanty thing (why did he have to have a knack with other languages?) while Gabe and Tori did their stabilizing stuff. The portal opened and when it was big enough, Connor and Dylan walked through. We couldn't see them reach the other side and Dylan start his chanting. Then it closed and we were here to kind of look at each other. It was decided that a group patrol was needed.
Angel has been asking us to filter some of Destiny's visions to his team since Cordy is currently stuck on old visions. It's not like Des hasn't had plenty to share, you know?
Angel called a little while ago and sounded weird. I was getting all kinds of stuff from him. I asked if he was all right and his voice got real soft and he whispered, "Are you being nosey and reading my thoughts, Rhiannon?"
Creepy much? I told him I was cleaning my crossbow and how could we help him. Apparently their hotel was attacked this morning, about an hour after they came in from patrolling. They cleaned house and most everyone was all right. Faith got injured pretty bad. Angel asked us to handle all of Destiny's visions tonight because he had something he needed to take care of.
You know? I probably should have talked him out of whatever he wanted to do, but screw it. We're busting our asses and people keep attacking us. If he wants to get his bad ass on and take out anyone who could have been involved? Go for it. I supported Connor and I damn sure support Angel.
Word needs to get out that you don't screw with LA's champions or their families. Only one way for that to happen.
