Whoa, crazy busy. And finally Rei has a body.

I finally am back in town after 3 months of whirlwind Trade school for jewelry. I can now size just about anything, and set just about anything. It was an amazing experience and I made alot of buddies in the business. Also its fun to be around people who can see the humor in watches that somehow smell like fish when you go to pull the back off to change the battery, and other oddities that most people just stare at you strangley about.

It's nice to be here and be sleeping in my own bed again though. I'm poking around town looking for a job for the holiday season while I shop my  resume around the country.

I'm really excited however that my  SOom Onyx came in while I was gone. I've spent a long, long time looking for a doll that would work for Reiken, and she really was it.  Rei's always been a funny character to fit into a BJD body since she's really tall, really pale and has those long talony nails. Not to mention not very "sweet" features. She's more like something Simon Bisley would draw than any mangaka. When I finally got to see her she was even more spot on for Rei. Only issue is I'm rather scared to try to do a faceup. Yes I know that sounds so retarded. But even though I can draw, paint, and make just about anything out of metal, set stones, and woodwork....something about doing a faceup freaks me out.

*Laughs* I guess I could go the route of buy an Obitsu head and practice on it. But I really would love some input on pastels to use. At one point  I tried to use PrismaColor NuPastels and those really did not work well at all. So if anyone has had good luck with another brand I'd love to hear about it.
