I spent a whole week without Internet access. If I still played games like Ancient Anguish or Maple Story, I'd probably feel really emo for the first few days, and by the time I was over it, I'd have to come back home! But the biggest thing I could've used Internet access for was to wish two of you a happy birthday, which I did anyway when I had the chance after coming back.

The text wasn't that big with any effects this time around either. Maybe next year when I'm not so deep into school I'll give myself more time to be creative again.

Where was I without access the past week? Mexico. It's the second time in my life I've been outside the USA. First time was in 2002, in Canadia. I spent about a week with my girl at a resort that was about 60 miles south of Cancun, and it was right next to a beach.

I've never seen water so clear/blue except in pictures. It was beautiful. The best part of my time there was probably when we went to Xel-Ha. The water there was even better than at the beach. If it wasn't so expensive to get inside, I would've gone every day just to swim. But the price was worth it, because it included food, mixed drinks, life jackets and snorkel gear, and free bus rides to other points in the park. I jumped off a cliff into water three times. Took over 9000 deci-seconds to get courage to jump off the first time, but after that I could've done it all day.

I imagined what the place was like before it became a park and thought to myself, wow, Mexico really has a rich history. It's too bad that it can be easily forgotten.

But if I was ever going to return to Mexico, I'd probably not stay at that same resort. Whoever is reading this might like it if they stayed there, but not me. I'll try a different place, with fewer Canadians/French, TYVM.

Just four more weeks until my semester ends. I won't believe that 16 weeks have already passed since January.
