This weekend was unbelievable! Shaun and I left for Disney Friday after we both were out of work. It took us just about 3 hours to get down there. I hadn't seen traffic like that ever on the Turnpike at first 7:00pm!
We checked in to this beautiful Sheraton resort villa-type hotel around 10:30ish. The place was awesome, thanks to his friend who hooked it up for us. Our room alone had a washer/dryer, kitchen, eat-in area, fridge, TV, VCR, CD player, had a water front side....so pretty!! After we unpacked and settled in for a bit, we remembered that we hadn't gotten anything to eat, so I suggested Uno's! Ya cant go to Orlando and not have Uno's pizza (at least one time while you're there hehe)!! So that's exactly what we had! After dinner, we went to the Super Walmart around the area to pick up some breakfast foods to keep in the fridge so we had something to eat before going over to the parks.
I must admit, I was extremely nervous going away this weekend. I had never shared a vacation with anyone other than Mike, and the thought of being away with someone different was a bit awkward for me at first. I had talked to many of my friends prior to leaving, and just the talk about how amazing they think Shaun is was enough for me to calm down and know that this weekend was going to be very special.....I just didn't realize how special it really did turn out to be!
We did Epcot the first day. It was a lot of fun, except the dumb-ass I am forgot to recharge the battery of my camera, and was only able to capture 3 or 4 pics before it died. I was going to buy a throw away camera, until we noticed it was $20 at Disney....gotta love the marketing there! I figured I would just recharge the camera back at the hotel and no problems....WRONG----the even more dumb-ass that I am, forgot to bring the second part of the charger where the battery attaches to!! Geez.....we had a couple good laughs about that one! We stayed at Epcot most of the day. Shaun told me prior to arriving there that he wanted to buy me a pearl over in the Japan country. It was so sweet that he had been planning to do this for me.
We went in to the gift shop and he had asked me to pick which ever oyster I wanted for them to crack open and find the pearl. I picked the one that first caught my eye, and it actually turned out to be an 8mm pearl! It was 2 times the normal size of most pearls. I did a good job! The color was a beautiful pink/peach/irridescent color. It wasn't the standard white, which made it even more exotic looking. Once they cleaned it off for me, Shaun told me he wanted me to pick out a piece to jewelry to put it on. I picked out this necklace where the pearl sits in the middle of a silver heart. There's a brown cord around the heart making it look really nice. I couldn't wear it for 12 hours while the pearl was forming to the heart, so I put it back in my bag, and gladly got out of the gift shop.
Then, we had margaritas from Mexico and walked around the rest of the countries. That whole weekend we went, there was a Wine and Food tasting event, so they had each country set up a small area where you could sample foods and wines from around the world. It was really nice. The weather was absolutely amazing. It must have been in the low 70's, maybe even upper 60's during the day! Perfect for being outside all day. After we left Epcot, we went back to the hotel to shower and take a nap before going to Halloween Horror Nights.
We ate dinner at the Macaroni Grill around 8:30ish and got to HHN by 10. We were able to get a lot done in 4 hours suprisingly. We saw Bill and Ted's show (which was hysterical), we went on Jaws, Earthquake, Shrek 4D, and accomplished 2 haunted houses. I was petrified of going into the haunted houses, especially since I absolutely HATE gory, horror movies. The one haunted house we talked about going into (Hostel Run), which was based on the movie, was supposed to be the scariest one there. Everyone was talking about scary it was and all this stuff, so when I heard that, I was very hesitant about going into it. Shaun told me we didn't have to do anything I didn't want to, or anything that would make me uncomfortable. Who would have thought I woulda heard those words hehe? I told him as long as he held on to me tight, Id have no problem. I doubt he had a problem with that either :) The haunted house actually was pretty tame. It wasn't as bad as I expected, and after we went through that one, I had suggested we try another one. He was really surprised and thought that was awesome I volunteered myself to go through a different one! We left the park around 3:30, which really was 2:30 because of fall back with the time change. On the way out, we saw a huge group of cops running into the park. I found out last night when I got back home, someone had been shot to death....great! Good thing I didn't see that! Yikes!
So we went back to the hotel, showered, enjoyed each others company.....twice.... (hehe), and passed out! We figured we weren't going to set the alarm for Sunday morning and just go to the Magic Kingdom whenever we woke up. We were wiped out from that whole day!
So we got to the Magic Kingdom around noon (not too bad). It still gave us all day to walk around. About a half hour after arriving there, we starting walking over to the castle. I wanted to take a picture so I took out my camera and snapped away. As we got closer, Shaun leaned over my shoulders and said "I've been wanting to tell you this for a while now, but I wanted to get the moment perfect, and being in front of your favorite castle is where I can tell you that I think I am falling in love with you." HOLY SHIT!!! I turned around and said "I think I am falling in love with you too." Then he said "No, I don't think, I know I am...I Love you." Wow! We kissed in front of the castle and it was just an unbelievable moment. I could tell how genuine he was too bc he (literally) was shaking he was so nervous telling me that. We took another picture in front together, so I will always remember the first time he said that to me.
We talked about the feelings we had and whatnot. We've almost known each other for 4 months, but it has felt like a lot longer because we are always on the exact same page. We haven't fought once, and we click on multiple levels. Its still hard to believe. There's still a lot of things we both need to get used to. Its a totally different world for me now, with a lot of realizations, and a lot of change happening all at once. Some days I have my moments, but for the most part, I couldn't be happier.
We went on all the good rides at the Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain we got drenched on! Good thing it was one of the last rides we did before leaving, so I was able to change back at the car rather quickly. Space Mountain was broken at the beginning of the day, so I was able to see what the ride looked like with all the lights on. It was awesome! I had been hoping to get a chance to see what it looked like for years now, and I finally did! It was too late to get a picture and by the time we went around on the People Mover (the ride that takes you through other rides), the lights for Space Mountain were back off and the ride was working so I couldn't capture the picture again. We went on Buzz Light-year. Shaun and I accumulated (there's the word you like babe hehe), all these points and kicked ass on the ride. We also went on the "new and improved" Pirates of the Caribbean (now with Johnny Depp's character in the ride from the movie), the haunted mansion (which is still one of my favorites), and Thunder Mountain. All in all, it was another perfect afternoon at Disney!
We left to drive back around 6:30ish. We arrived back at my place around 9:30, ate dinner and fell asleep till 1am! Shaun left to drive back home, and I passed out shortly after. We are meeting up today to look for new places for him to live! Should be fun!!
HALLOWEEN IS TOMORROW!!!! Pictures soon to come hehe
Well, I just posted a short novel---hope you all are doing well, and everyone reads this with happiness in their lives as well ;) xoxox
