I love my parents but really
they always complain about me spending their money and not getting a job yada yada yada. the reason i can't get a job is simple: i go to boarding school. they allow us to do voluntary work but something that pays? nuh uh. i am actually pretty decent about money, i don't go out and spend shit loads on clothes, i stick to my pathetic £10 per week pocket money allowance (term time only, nothing in the holidays) and almost NEVER go out.
As my sort of 'you are leaving home soon, freeing us of all financial commitment to you' present they are paying for me to go on a trip to hong kong. very nice, i appreciate it. yet i wish they wouldnt go on and on and on about how much it is costing. if we had booked when i wanted to i could have gone for about £600, from an airport close by and it would have taken 11 hours or so. but they didn't want to listen. instead i am going for the same price, from LONDON on an airline which makes me go through and indian airport AND takes a WHOLE FECKING DAY OF TRAVELLING. that is besides the point. the bitching is what gets to me. not really from my mum, she is entitled to it, but from my dad. he keeps going on about how much it is. if we were struggling for money, fair enough, but i know full well that we arent. it isnt that we are rich (trust me, we arent), but we are fine. you know what i mean? we can't go off whenever we want but it isn't like we can't make bill payments. the excuse he gave for not getting me the cheap, enjoyable flight was 'we don't have the money in the bank account' but then he will go out and drop a couple of hundred from that same account on completely random stuff.

WTF?! you can get leather bags for less than that. i say bag because i am in desperate need of a handbag. i am an 18 year old girl and i don't have a single one. (ok, that's a lie. i have one but its a fake LV white multicoloured bag. it sticks out like a sore thumb so i have NEVER used it).
