It seems that I'm still on my TDK kick. I can't get enough of the that movie...i know I'm definately going a third time with Scott in Imax once he gets home, but is it bad that I would love to see it again this week besides that?
Today was a miserable, busy day. It was raining, so we had to keep the kiddies inside for summer rec. Muggy and humid, fun fun for all. We FINALLY got our Rec t-shirts today. I really don't see the point--Rec ends next week and we're getting them now. Someone has to explain that logic to me. I spent a good portion of my time folding paper cranes for the chitlins and shamelessly soaking up their admiration. Honestly, it doesn't take much to impress them.
I know for sure that it's one of the girls' last day tomorrow because she and her family are going on vacation and I'm betting that I won't be seeing a tip from her.
Oh, it's Funzone tomorrow as a trip. It's both good and obnoxious--takes up the day without me having to entertain them but it's a pain in the ass to keep track of them all. I can't believe that summer rec is almost over. It's odd, summer rec and Scott leaving for Japan kind of happened about the same time. And yet, summer rec itself went by decently quickly but the amount of time he's been gone is double/longer than what it really is. Come sunday, it'll be three weeks since I've seen him and one week until I get to see him again.
I rushed from Rec to Ideal in typical fashion. There was a freaky thing that happened at work today. For some reason all the phone lines were lit up and none of the phones held a dial tone. The internet was dead and it was only Marion and I in the office for an hour. To top it all off, Wendy had just told Mallory that she wants up to up our amount of calls per hour to 50! Seriously, what is she smoking? If I pushed myself to the point of pain, PERHAPS I'll get 50 in for the DAY. The only comfort was that Mallory said that if I normally make 15 in an hour, I should push for 20 to show that I'm increasing. Twenty is going to be a royal pain to feel pressured to make every hour.
My retarded cell phone model, the Chocolate, is causing me problems once again. This time the speaker/mic went on the dratted thing and I can't make or recieve any phone calls and have the other person hear me. I've had the phone for a little more than a year and this is the third time I'm getting it replaced. I have to carry around Dad's bluetooth for the next couple of days until the new model ships here from the warehouse. Unfortunately, I can't upgrade until December.
I continued my conditioning for Mt. Washington today in the form of a good power walk/light jog. My mother is really not happy with my decision to climb the mountain. That's all I'm going to say on that.
Oh, to top it all off, my glasses broke. (I only wear glasses at night just before bed).
The only good thing about today is that it marks the start of another cupcake week. As agreed, mother dearest purchased another four cupcakes from Slap Happy Bakery under the condition that I may eat only one a day and hold "cupcake week" every other week. I devoured a delictable pink frosted one tonight---yummy.
I'm re-reading all of the books in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series in order to prepare for the newest one that's coming out on August 2nd. The internet is going to be SWARMING with accidental spoilers, so I want to start the book as soon as it's released. The movie's coming out soon, I believe (though I don't have high hopes. I never do when it comes to a movie-book film).
My craving for Joker icons never ceases to be sated. Ah, OCD.
