Last night...
I got a call from Jake last night I picked up the phone "hello" "get ready im on my way" then he hung up. That was it. I thought we might be having some kind of adventure so i said bye to everyone online. Jake came to my door and he looked like he had been wearing the same clothes for days. I dont think he had showered. Or even slept. I asked him if everything was okay and he just kept silent. I figured something was wrong but i just went and sat in his car. He started driving... Fast. And just listened to the tape player.
It was about the third song when Jake said something, he said "Ill tell you something Kim. I feel great. I'm going away to college, right? It'll be different there. You know what i mean?" i just sat there "sure". He nodded his head and said "things will be different there, they have to be." I told him that they will be. He asked if i really thought so. And i said sure. Then he said thanks kim. I wasnt quite sure what he said it for but thats just kind of how it went.
He showed me alot of places around calgary that ive never seen before, we went to this park where some people just hung out. That was fun, we sat on swings; talked and told stories.
After we talked for a while it was quiet. He drove me home, we hugged goodnight and when i was just about to let go, he held me a little tighter. And he moved his face to mine. And he kissed me. A real kiss. Then he pulled away real slow. He said he was sorry. I said it was okay. But it really wasnt. He said thanks again. I got out of the car and he left.
