Ughh..We have testing tomorrow in Chambers on "Loch Lomand" and there're these two little parts that I don't know, so I'm kind of freaking out right now. eep..I'm scared. I hope we only do the parts I know and that I can get the interval for "roads" right on the part where it changes. I'm scared. *hides*
So, I'm officially a soprano 2 in a cappella. Justin was making me, Abena, and Michelle sing the B flat scale today over and over, and Mr. Brown heard us sing it, and asked me to sing it alone, so I did, and he said "We have to move you to soprano." And I said "Nooo!" and I made a sad face, and then he said "We need another nice, round sound like that in the soprano 2 section." So, I was like, "No, no we don't." but...I can't argue with Mr. Brown, so finally I gave up and said yes, and he was like "Thank you, thank you, you're wonderful," and it made me laugh. haha..I love Mr. Brown. I don't want to be a soprano, though. I'm more than happy in the alto section. grrrr!! Oh well. I'll just have to suck it up. I can rejoin my lovely altos in a cappella next year, or next semester, even.
We sang "Come Again, Sweet Love" in mixed formation today, and it sounded so pretty! I was next to Abena and [I think] Jeff. We were kind of in a circle around the piano and Mr. Brown, and I think it sounded really nice. That's such a pretty song.
We're doing "Go Where I Send Thee" in Treble..yay!! I talked him into it. I'm so happy. That song is so much fun to sing. Ughhh..that reminds me. I have to practice my All State music. Shit..I should've worked on it last week. Well, "The Grey Selchie" is the easiest song ever for the Altos. For once we have the melody. So, the whole song is pretty much the melody for us. The rhythms are kind of weird in certain parts, but that shouldn't give me too much trouble. I really have to work on Gloria and Dravidian Dithyramb. Dithyramb is a really hard piece, but I know once we get it it'll be really fun to sing. I'm pretty excited for all the All State music. She picked some really nice songs. Much better than what Dr. Gardner chose for Regions last year. The songs he picked were nice, but there was hardly and variety, and the concert was very boring. Even Mr. Brown agreed, and Dr. Gardner directs the Rutgers choirs, he should've picked a better selection than what he did.
Hm..got a thing in the mail today that says I have to take the PSAT again on October 12th. ugh. I don't want to. I hope my scores go up from what I got last year. I think they will. I really need to get at least 100 points better on the math section. My Critical Reading and Writing scores were okay. I know I'm going to get all stressed out about this. Blehhh. >.<
Hm..Can't wait for Sunday. I'm like 98% sure that I'm going. I really hope everything works out, because I really want to see Karmine and Matt and Cary. Eee..I'm so excited! =D
Okay..homework, then sleep. Sleep is lovely. Um..yeah. Later!! <33
