(no subject)
It doesn't feel like we're ever going to get moved.
We filled the horse trailer up with furniture today and got all the big stuff minus the headboard for the bed and the armoire, which we'll get on Friday. I'm going to get a second hand dresser Friday as well...I found a really nice one for $55 at the Youth Ranch in Gooding. We didn't get anything bu the entertainment center set up...we were so exhausted that we pushed on of the couches up in front of it and watched a movie before I came back to grandma'snto resume laundry.
I didn't realize what bad condition Adam's furniture is in. It's disgusting from a year and a half of bachelor living. Tomorrow Agter work I'm taking grandma's carpet cleaner over...it's got an uphostery attachment and I'm going to clean the couches and recliner as much as possible. The entertainment center has been chewed by the dogs, and everything needs to be replaced. In a few months
after I've been on the casino floor and we have some money saved, we're going to get new couches and I'm going to paint the entertainment center in the spots where it's chewed (it's just plain black and will be easy to do).
The good news is that my bathroom is almost done. It makes me feel more balanced and stable to have at least one room organized in the chaos. I got a new shower curtain and matching towels. I discovered that the rugs I got are the wrong color blue and don't match, but they were cheap and in a couple o weeks I'm going to get nicer ones in the right color as well as a full length door mirror (they're on sale at Target for 5 bucks), a new toilet paper holder, and some extra wall-mounted shelving. Then I just need to replace the fan cover on the ceiling and get drain plugs and it'll be perfect.
Right now though, I just want my own bed. It'll be one of the last times I'll sleep in it, and I want to enjoy it. I'll probably try and get a couple more loads of laundry done, but then it's lights out.
