We are SO screwed:
Last night I watched the news for 4 hours. All they showed was the footage from the Hurricane Katrina disaster. It was so sad to watch these people.
They are suffering more from themselves than from the damages from the hurricane. It seems that there are more criminals in that city than decent people. It is so sad to see how poor our country is and how we can alow it to be that way.
Most of these people haven't had to work in years because they have been given welfare checks to live off of. They live in houseing prodjects with poor conditions. These people are stuck in there because if they ever got a job with not even a decent pay they would be taken off of welfare and thrown out of the prodject houses.
Today the goverment has enough money to give these poor people more money than they would get with a job. The goverment is paying these people to live in poverty, with no job, poor prodjects, and bad schools. These people have nothing to do, and they form gangs and deal drugs. Our country is being destroyed by the poverty our goverment is paying for.
