LOOFA

The animal I have designed is named “Loofa”. It is also given the nick name “King Loofa Bear of the Jungle”. It lives on the planet with a moderate climate. Its size can be related to the size of a giraffe, but it does have more of a bulky figure to it. It is an omnivore and most often eats leaves found high in the trees. Sometimes it eats the birds’ eggs/chicks left in an unsupervised nest. Also, occasionally it eats the slow moving animals that are found amongst the trees. It drinks from the seasonal lakes and pools, but water is not a mandatory element for its survival. It maintains its temperature easily because it is warm-blooded. Its shelter is found near the mountainside in caves and other hideaways. It’s mostly hunted by the carnivorous nocturnal wolf, who sometimes wanders into the caves and other homes of the loofa. It protects/defends itself from others by first flashing its ferocious teeth while letting out a bloody-thirsty roar followed by mighty growls. In addition to its intimidating presence, the loofa can also frolic very fast and is one of the quickest on the planet. The loofas population growth is very unique. It has 4 loofas at a time. The offspring take 4 weeks to develop in the womb, and then are born. Survival is tougher at infancy than at adulthood, being as the young loofas are just learning to adapt to the new world. Therefore they are slower not only in physical, but mental ways also. The duration of reproduction period is from 12-45 years of age, close to those of the humans. Lastly, the loofa matures in about 5 years. Its camouflage is its green color hides them in the seasonal grasses that grow from the rain. Its ecological niche is that it keeps balance of existing birds, tree animals, and also their (the birds and animals etc.) sources of food. In addition to these important factors, also its biodiversity is that the loofa’s are the most abstract animal in their ecosystems.
