Not as angsty as this might come across, promise.
You know, I was looking at everything I've written over the last couple of months or so, and it's all ChocoMimi and fire alarms. It must look like I have a really boring, pathetic life. (Er, not too far from the truth...) But the really sad thing? When I started wondering if I should make an effort to write about other stuff on occassion, I couldn't think of anything.
So, I'm just going to talk about random things.
* Haruhi PS2 Hare Hare Yukai dance in 3D is so painfully awesome. Itsuki is so fabulous it hurts.
* I've been considering rewatching Haruhi, but it seems kind of impractical when I consider how much stuff I have waiting to be watched. Moreover, the Haruhi fandom kind of has a reputation for being pushy, fanatical, and overrated, much like a lot of fandoms I'm only half in. It really makes me wonder if I'm the same as the worst examples and just don't realize it.
* One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e (namely the all-ages OVA) is at the same time one of the best and worst series I've seen in recent memory, simply because it's so mindfucky I couldn't make heads or tails of it. It totally lured me in with promises of boring high school slice-of-life harem renai-ness! I feel duped and I don't necessarily dislike it.
* Hirata Yuka in a maid dress. I just thought everyone should be aware of that.
* I think the Honey and Clover drama is helping me realign my priorities and get back to what really matters to me. Considering one of my favourite things about Hachikuro is when people get kicked, I find this a little troubling.
* The upcoming drama season looks rather boring to me, but it might have a few gems. I mean, Zettai Kareshi and Gokusen 3 are kind of a given, considering how much I've been flailing shamelessly over them, but Last Friends looks like it could be interesting too, and lord knows I love me some Eita. Also I'm really hoping someone picks up ROOKIES for subbing; I mean, look at the cast! How it that not awesome? And come on, what about the plot? Take a bunch of delinquents and HAY, LET'S GIVE THEM THINGS TO HIT OTHER THINGS WITH. Yeah. (I also have my fingers crossed for Battery, but I'm not holding my breath.)
* I kinda want to make myself a Robin costume.
...It kind of scares me, how heavy an emphasis there is on fandom in my life. Ah well.
