Kamen Rider Blade: DONE. Around episode 40 I kinda hit a wall and just wanted to go do something else for a while (i.e. SLEEP) but I kept going and got it done! I feel strangely accomplished.
Evil Mutsuki stuck around longer than I anticipated! He kind of fell back into Regular Mutsuki's pattern of getting his ass kicked, but Evil Mutsuki didn't really complain about it. So basically the difference between Regular Mutsuki and Evil Mutsuki is Evil Mutsuki doesn't whine as much. Why did they want him back as a good guy?
The Undead that could imitate people generally made me unhappy (it induced a collective failure to communicate, which always frustrates me), but resulted in possibly my favourite scene in the series:
Kenzaki: But how do we know the Undead isn't here right now?
Mutsuki: Bawww all I do is make trouble for everyone bawww
Kenzaki: ...Okay, that's definitely Mutsuki.
Tachibana: Bawww I do everything wrong bawww
Kenzaki: Uh huh, that's Tachibana. What about Hirose?
Hirose: WHAT DID YOU SAY.
Kenzaki: YOU'RE HIROSE, YOU'RE HIROSE. o_o
The dead father angst made a return! What a surprise. I mean, Amane's early series father angst episodes were pretty mild, but the actual content managed to hit me where it hurt, and then the Trial B arc kind of just gutted me. IDK Blade was overall very light on the angst, but I'm pretty sensitive to the brand it did occasionally indulge in. Whatever, if Mutsuki's allowed to whine for episodes at a time...
That ending... THAT ENDING. Kenzaki Rider Kicked fate in the face and created his own third option! MY FAVOURITE KIND OF HERO. ♥
Conclusion: I LOVE KAMEN RIDER BLADE. ♥ ♥ ♥
